Earliest 3500s

Hi all,

More curious than anything, but I was looking through the documentation of my car and noticed it was the 357th 'S' produced. I already knew it was an early one as it's a November '71 car but I was wondering if anyone has/knows of an earlier S?

I had one which IIRC was October '71 registered and used by the factory for the first 2 years of it's life, although it wasn't a press car.

I got rid of it so long ago that I don't think it's still listed on there. I just tried to check again and the DVLA site is down.

It's the prototype for what would become the 3500S, based on a 3500S Automatic.

Prior to that, several of the development P6B's had manual gearboxes.

Ahh very interesting! I didn’t know there were these cars still on the road. Do we know if any of the super early production ‘s’ models going?

There are two road-going P6B prototypes on the road - one for sale - and two others that were turned into BL racers, that still survive

No idea about production cars, as series 2 cars aren't really in my area of interest
