'Driving Force'

Sorry that it is late, my fault, I missed our print window at our printers after the NEC and then to make matters worse, the bad weather and a machine breakdown, put paid to a quick post-christmas turn around, so only got the mags back from our printers yesterday morning.
However, because of missing the print window, I had plenty of time to prepare the envelopes with required renewals forms, membership cards, address labels, stamps and event booking leaflets, so was able to envelope the magazines in just under 4 hours, therefore being able to post last night. That said though, I must compliment Royal Mail because I only delivered the enveloped magazines to the Mail Sort Centre in Wolverhampton last night at 8pm and even with only a 2nd class stamp, the magazines seem to have been hitting mats this morning in places. Good going that.
Ironically the next issue is very close to going to the printers, so won't be far behind this one and will put us back on schedule.

As a new member , can I make a suggestion ? There are lots of photos in the magazine where new members won't know who the people are , and some people are referred to by Christain name only and a surname would help us to get to know who's who . I appreciate the magazine probably went to press before us ex P6ROC people joined

Thanks for the comment Dave, much appreciated.

Funny enough when I sat and read it to myself today, I thought, I've slipped up there because I should have included the names of everyone who is pictured especially those on the back page.

I'll make sure I get it right next time.

My copy was on the mat waiting for me when I got home from work. Excellent work! :)

Cheers

Dave

Mine too. A great read with my cup of tea, especially liked the French trip article 8)
Nice work chaps!

Exellent mag as usual, but you now have go me all confused, as I also recieved my renewed membership cards, showing my own car at the `Darling Buds of May `2009 car show on the reverse of the card.
Someone has been doing their homework because I have no idea where you got them from, but it made me smile.
Got any ideas?

Hi Nick
Yes, we get loads of members who send photos to us from events that they have been too. I usually file these pictures by registration number.

Excellent looking mag!
A quality product I will look forward to reading properly this weekend!

Yes I was also please to see my picture of 'Hotty' (reg is HOT what better for a new 1967 TC). Excellent service from an excellent Club.

I've just joined this club and my first lovely surprise was to get a membership card with a picture of my P6B laminated onto it. A brilliant idea! I've had 2 magazines already including a wonderful selection of Rover P6 photos from the 2009 NEC show. The best Classic Car show I've ever been to. Brought it all back. Eric

UUps!

Ex P6roc?

What happened to my membership?
Without it, my (Paul James) insurance for "The Fleet" may be void!

Whom do I need to call and send some money?

I think, I only joined in August so should have "half a years" membership left.

The idea to join forces with the P6 club in my view is a good development.

Where does the Dorset/East Devon crowd meet?
Hare and Hounds? A meateaters paradise. And good beers, too (for co-pilots, of course).

All the best and keep up the good work.
Cheers!

Does your policy stipulate that you need to be a member of a club, because there are companies out their who don't insist on this. Or do you need a valuation arranging?
If you do need to be a member of a club to honor your insurance policy, you will find a link to join the Rover P6 Club at http://www.p6club.com. If you do decide to join us, your membership will last a full 12 months from the time your application is approved.

?

For your information the The Rover P6 Club has not joined forces with the P6 Rover Owners Club. The only change is that the P6ROC is now being run as a sole trader business without a committee. The Rover P6 Club on the other hand, is continuing to be run by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers.
