Door furflex

Another want for my P6's pending rolling refurb this year!
A full set of bronze or cinnamon door appature fur flex's, must be in excellent or very good condition.
I know that you can swap them about side to side,so even if you only have a couple or 3, that will start the ball rolling, and I can assemble a set gradually!

Ive seen it!
And no thanks,not at £6 per M!!
Original wanted as most of the repro is crap, its either ill fitting and /or wrong colours!

When I say size,I don't mean the length!
There are 2,poss 3 different profiles/sizes/types used on the door appatures!

Cant assist here on size. I simply stated what I wanted and Wadhams sent it. It went on well and was of decent quality.

To be honest all aftermarket stuff ranges from passable to bordering rubbish. The furflex was ok, the screen rubbers and complete rubber set I had off of another popular seller, which were not cheap, were frankly diabolical..... the quality actually made me upset, as I felt I had been taken the utter "P" out of, as I asked if the fit was OK and was told they were good. I spent £300+ on rubber and felt angry!

Good luck with the quest. Good second hand stuff is often available at JP Restos. Also Geoff at Winns soetimes breaks a few and he is a nice bloke. What about Nick Dunning?

Good luck

Jim

Always worth checking out Wollies for this sort of things.

They have a good selection but worth a call to see what is available.

Have just found the complete set I was sure I had,but some bits are past their best.

The furflex is made up of 3 different types/profiles!
Look closely!!!
Theres 2 small "front", 4 medium,"center pillar" and 2 large "rear" with a bead built in.

At least I can try to get a good colour/profile match when at shows now, trouble is the colours I want are hens teeth rare, even in repro!
I have dropped a line/E to all the usual suspects, but I would expect them to want to keep such items for their own projects!

I am fitting a dark grey carpet with black edging so will fit black furflex.

My furflex is not too bad, just a bit grubby so it will go into the washing machine and then I'll dye it black.

Nothing ventured nothing gained!
If it doesn't fall apart in the washing machine "very cool gentle wash" then make sure you dry it out thoroughly,as the metal will rust pdq!
You would be better off with some good spray on upholstery cleaner foam!
