Phil,
Thank you, it was my advert that you remember.
Adverts for parts/cars for sale or wanted are now no longer allowed in the forum which is why the advert has disappeared.
I bought three from various parts of the country and hope to make one good one from the pieces from each.
It was kind of you to remember and to pass on this info'.
Regards, John.
Having checked out the ebay site I was stunned by the amount of P6 spares available for auction.
A lot of the items are still available from our friendly dealers but there may be some items worth bidding for.
Regards, John.
Good grief! And that did not include the black plastic/rubber steady to windscreen piece, without which the mirror is virtually unusable!
Regards, John.
Did you know that the same type of fitting for the rear view mirror can be found on other british leyland vehicles.
I can for sure say the SD1's have a very nice dipping mirror although the stalk is smaller.
The Land Rover Defender or atleast the one I drove a 2000 comercial variant had and identical black plastic mirror as the p6 except it has a dip facility. You will be amazed if you have never drove a Landy how out dated it is.
