Delayed wipers

In case its useful, there is a VW relay that enables wiper delays - The VW/Audi part number for this relay is 1HM955531A . see here ...

Porsche people use these also as a subsitute for failed original units.

Not sure where that would plug into but will keep it in mind. I assumed the delay on the P6 is some sort of vacuum unit as it operates with this pipe that is in the wire harness.

The wiper delay is a capsule mounted on the motor, search for fixes on the forum.

Don't see a problem with that. Just find the relevant wires to and from the delay unit, and run them to the electric relay instead.

Yes, its normally an air bleed down thing , but if there is a relay involved it might work. If the selection of Delay is electric there is a good chance.

Ah yeah but.... would you need a multi position switch in order to vary the delay?

I think I 'll stick to twiddling my knob.

Now sorted using a straight plastic airline connector and a short length of airline from my Tropical fish tank. Works great.
