Custom P6's

Hi Gurus,
Looking for inspiration in isolation. Was hoping to see some funky custom P6's but Google is letting me down. Looking for chop-tops, frenched tailights, shaved handles, debadged smooth lines, psychedelic paint jobs etc....not much out there? With the P6's lines it's asking for custom touches - don't you think?

Man that Rolls Royce grill is just as ugly on the Rover as anything else lol. Really like the wheels and paint though!

I got so close to building a 2 door just like that. I had a mate that was going to do all the metalwork and fabrication to move the pillar back and extend the door and rear wing, another mate who was going to weld up stainless frames for the door and rear aside windows, and someone on here who, at the time , had what looked like the ideal starting point, a partially dismantled V8 P6B that was supposedly very solid, but he would never tell me how much he wanted for it, so the project stalled, and that was the end of that....

Yeah it's one of those things that keeps nagging at me too....but it keeps coming back to needing the wheelbase shortened too which is....extreme. I'd love to put a Ferrari 250 roofline on a shortened 2 door. It's just asking for it. It'd start looking like a Gordon-Keeble, which is a good thing.

I wouldn't shorten the wheelbase, just move the door pillar back, lengthen the front door, and stretch the rear wing forwards to meet the back of the extended door.

Doors are a bolt on item, filling in a hole where one used to be is still not modifying the monocoque, as an extended rear wing could also remain a bolt on item.
Crack on !

Moving the door pillar back puts you into BIVA territory I'm afraid.

I'd love to take a hacksaw to one of TRM's cars, just to see the look on his face when he found out.....

Who's gonna worry about a relocated B post after all the current sh1t subsides. Hell everyone will just be glad to be alive !
