If the heater fan is noisy when on full heres a little tip Ive done for many years on these cars,and it works.Remove the washer bottle and you will see some sctew heads running either side of the washer bottle carrige undo these I think theres about 6 or 8 then bend gently this plate down and you will see the fan then spray with WD40 with the fan on onto the centre bearing when the noise stops,lubricate the bearing with grease I use spray grease as it gets in all the nooks and crannys.then push plate back up and screw back,on earlier cars there is rivets instead of screws just drill these out and replace with self tappers.You may have to repeat process in six months or more but better than taking heater box out regards gary smith
