Crankshaft pully bolt

Hi , could any body confirm the size of the crankshaft pully bolt just trying to ensure i have the right kit ready to tackle my valves.

1-1/2" AF

Halfords do a deep hex socket with a 1/2" drive off the shelf.

But to ask a stupid question, why do you need to remove it to do anything with the valve gear?

Many thanks for the quick reply, i don,t want to remove it, just turn the engine to align the ep mark etc, Ive tried turning it with the belt and fan, but no luck.

Oh! I didn't think of that.
Take all the plugs out and it becomes easier to move by the belt (as long as you keep it right). But the socket will give the best precision, obviously.
