Conversation to inertia seat belts.

Hi All I've decided to install the three point inertia seat belts in my series 1 [ my britax static belts are now on ebay if anyone is interested P6 Rover Britax static seat belts and was wondering if anyone has done the same and if so where did they drill the addition hole for the third fixing point I'm guess will have to be on the B pillar where the main body of the new belts will be?? any help gratefully received.

Hi The 'B' pillar is double drilled, one top, one bottom. these are the same anchor points your old belts used.

Hi Colin Thanks for this but the main reel attached the new ones needs three anchor points don't think I can use the bottom one twice, or can I....??

You need the Securon type use d by Demetris and I. The "three points" are the reel, the upper-pillar and where it clips in. You do not need the bottom twice.

correct, ignore my brainfart, but that's how it is meant to be is it not?

The belt kit comes with a "top hat" spacer to allow the end to be anchored and move freely.

I have often used the bottom tapping of B post area for both the reel and lap strap when fitting reel belts in place of static,. The correct spacer will allow movement of the lap belt and also firmly fix the reel in position.
