companies that rebuild a differential

who knows companies that rebuild a differential good.

I do not dare to go full throttle with the new 4.6 warrior engine ;-)
once the thru-axle is already broken.

I seem to remember that Classeparts did one once upon a time.

Also, there were some people on here looking into getting Quaife to do one, don't know how that panned out, try a search for it.

You can also wedge a jag diff in there but you do need to be quite good at fabrication and have a good understanding of the forces involved in the drive train, which is why it's taking me such a long time to do it :)

One chap on here has a Buick 300 motor and has a land rover crown wheel in the standard diff casing although I have no idea how he's done it.

I am looking into trying to build a stronger diff. Quaife have a minimum order qty of I think it was 30 units, so I canned that.
Another firm will do stronger output and input shafts, but they need samples of the female splined items involved and as yet I do not have a full set, I am working on it.
Opinion on here seems to think the centre section will take reasonable power and torque as it is.

I started looking at this before the 'Ministry' settled on what criteria was needed to qualify for VHI status, so did not want to go stuffing in a Jag unit at the time.
I guess that is the way to go if you haven't gone too mad with changes elsewhere.

However I still wonder about that very long one piece prop that is needed for the Jag unit, I eagerly await Richard's review of high speed testing
I talked extensively with Classeparts, but was not able to get either a specification of works done or a price.

The new propshaft is actually 30cm longer than the manual one, and after a discussion with the driveshaft specialists, they did seem to think that the single piece one, with a 3" tube would be better than a two piece with a bearing mounted on the suspension crossmember. Time will tell :)
