I've got that magazine! What you can't see in that picture is the 14 x 9" slot mags, round aerial and chrome side exhausts!

You need to scan that and email me a copy, that is just a classic 1970's peice of bling, maybe even worth someone recreating the car lol, please someone shoot me now!!

PS was it a series 1 or 2 or does it even matter, it's a silver shadow now

Graeme

Cheers thanks for that, you can never have enough Rover p6B articles too read doent matter weather they are the good the bad or maybe in this case the ugly :D

Maybe it is just me but it really reminds me of an Allegro vanden Plas. if it had been made earlier maybe BL would have stolen the guys work

Oh my god!, it's worse than I'd imagined!
Shocking really, it would have only been 3 or 4 years old at the time. :?

It truely is worse than I thought too, the design could have been done a whole lot better than that, Austin allergro vanden plas is too much praise.

The slot mags are fantastic. I'd love to get hold of a set. Ignoring the rest of the modifications, those wide arches have actually been done quite nicely, certainly more attractive than the Works racers, the recent Willpower clone, or any other attempts I've come across. Thanks for posting these scans, that car made me laugh out loud!

Well, apart from the grille, bonnet, exhausts, paint job and the coathanger aerial, I like it  (sad seventies teenager that I am!)

Groovy baby ! ( I think that's the right era ) I think the mention of aluminium , pop rivets and filler would suggest it wasn't buit to last

I remember John Brown Wheels, on London Road Croydon, just the place for a set of wide wheels for your Ford Anglia !

oh god !
again shoot me cos i actually quite like it!
apart from the side pipes!
i must get my wolfrace slots out again!
ok, i even have an affection for allegro's!

I like Wolfraces as well , very 1970's

I've driven past what looks like a nice orange Allegro for sale - must stop and have a look next week

Gosh! Well that goes to show that money and taste definitely don't go together! A sort of modern equivalent of the Docker Daimlers?
