Chrome Button for ET headrests

Maybe someone with a 3D printer? Then paint them with chrome-effect paint?

I'm hoping to get a 3D printer later in the year, to do small items like this.

Thank you very much for the idea please let me know if you purchase a 3 d printer I could be your first customer Thanks Bob

Forum member sdibbers in the USA does 3D printing. Perhaps he could reproduce these?
Not to hijack this thread, but if anybody wants to 3D print me a shifter knob for my P6 3500S gear stick with a 5-speed pattern 'engraved' on the top, I've got the money here waiting!

There certainly are a lot of complete knobs on ebay!
I like the idea of something with the same font and stroke width, as if it were like that from the factory, rather than using generic stuff. I realise nobody is looking but me. It is not exactly the top priority on my to-do list. Sorry for the thread hijack.
ET button for Bob, anybody?

One of my ET's doesn't have a chrome button. Neither does it have a corresponding hole in the vinyl or look at all as though it's ever been recovered. It does have the inner button & the adjustment mechanism however & works as it should, you just press the button through the vinyl.
It's a bit of an enigma.

:D Very true.

I have been thinking about having some made in brass, had some rally plaques made in the past so they should be able to cast something which can be plated.

Cost wise we got a 100 credit card size plaques at £4 each so would be surprised if the buttons cost much.

Thanks. I'll drop him an e-mail.
Happy to supply these buttons, I have a few in 'stock'

Ah, hello Bob. I'll have a pair then please, could you PM the price & payment details please?

I actually have three without buttons now but one looks as though it's never had one fitted as the covering is original with no hole in it. It functions properly though, you just push the adjuster rod through the vinyl.
