Chassis Plate

Hi,
Can any member please shed light on just where on the cars body does one fix the chassis plate? I have just bought one from Deborah at p6ROC.

Hi, The chassis number is stamped on one or both front inner wings on the outside edge at the back by the front spring bulge. It is also stamped on the base unit underneath the rear scuttle panel, there is the the 'pressed steel' base unit number at the back as well which shouldn't be confused with the chassis number.

Yes thanks for that. What I was enquiring about, was I have just purchased an "independent Chassis Plate" from Deborah, but have no idea where it goes on or in the car??
If someone could tell me where to fix it, that would be great.

have a look at this thread and see if it helps.

The inner wing near the existing stamp or labels would be sensible but anywhere you fancy, even in the door check would be a good place.
