If any friends with Rovers would like to attend our village fete, known as 'The Wakes' on Aug 27th this year they would be assured of a hearty welcome, several cups of tea and cakes and some good craic. At the moment for my stall I have a couple of classics (mine and a VW or two) stationary engine, vintage tractor and I hope some other entries by the day of the Wakes. I'm organising a transport-based quiz with prizes, and my home is open to friends. This is VERY small scale, but it is in a beautiful part of the world in the Staffordshire Moorlands, halfway between Ashbourne in Derbyshire and Leek in Staffs, about 5 miles from Alton Towers. Ideal for a stress-free day out, and there's the usual tombola etc etc.
