Brake light failure indicator for our cars..

Many years ago in my modified P4 the previous owner had installed a brake light failure indicator. It was a round can the size of a flasher can, with a mounting case with "STOP" on it with bulb behind it. It was fitted on the bottom edge of the dash on the right. When the brake lights were working, it lit up ; when they didnt, it didnt light up.
Anybody ever seen one of these, and know if they still exist please?
thanks

I know what you mean and the rectangular STOP lens is available, I suspect it was load sensing relay. If a current of two x 21 watt went through, it would operate the contacts and switch on the light, but if one or both failed it wouldn't . I have been through some old Lucas catalogues and cannot find it.

Probably a bit of topic, but I installed a basic LED brake light at the bottom of 'Hazel's' rear window & you can clearly see the 'aura' when you brake. This at least tells me the pressure switch is working!

Mine is bonded to the lower part of the rear screen, so you can't see the aura, but it does have a tiny 'tell tale' window and you can see it in the rear view mirror.
