This photo popped up on FB today (December 30, 2022), taken on that day in Dapto, a town just north of Wollongong, about 90km south of Sydney. It is the first time I have seen a photo taken at random that features a Rover P6B.

You're assuming that it's a P6B. It could be a series 2 2000, without overriders.

That's true Chris, I am assuming, and it could be. My only defence is that in Australia, the series 2 2000 were very thin on the ground. If you saw a Rover, it was nearly always a 3500. So whilst it is not impossible that the Rover in the photo is indeed a 2000, the probability is much less.
