Hi, Yes, the cases to all intents and purposes are the same, the internals differ relevant to the vehicle they're fitted to.

I have bought a upgraded gasket but not the rubber unit but a composite gasket that will go on next week, it is a lot more money than the original cork gasket so I hope that it does the job as advertised. any body interested I got it from classeparts on ebay. If anybody has used this gasket please put it on the forum so as to update as I will after mine is fitted

How did you get on with the updated gasket from class parts, I'm in the same boat, which one did you buy and has it leaked since, and finally what torque did you do the sump nuts and did you use any sealant, that's my next job thanks

are you sure its the sump gasket and not the little round lip seal.
Seems to be leaking from the bolt area nearest the exhaust pipe at the corner of the sump, then wets the exhaust, been stood since 95, and it looks like a rubber one, the leak might have been there before

The upgraded gasket has been on for quite some time now without any leaks or problems, I also have used the neoprene gasket on the rocker cover again with no problems with leaks.
