Boot mount kit question

Hi, all, latest question! I've just got the support bracket for the boot kit (thanks, Clive ), had a look at it and there appears to be a couple of holes already drilled in the base unit, although not big enough, as per the photo, do they look about right positioning wise? For some reason there isn't a seal on the body, just ordered one.

rather hard to tell from that shot. A wider angle would help. The holes look a bit far apart, they should take 1/4 UNF bolts though I note that the parts manual lists a strap holding two studs the same size which would be better. the bolt heads are covered by the boot lip seal and they bulge a little. If youdon't have that seal fitted, do youhave the stainless steel finishers on the bottom? either side of the latch, as they clamp the seal in place. The joint is also under one of them.
