Has any one any information as to when the new p6 (US sourced) bonnet badges might be available again?

There's one on ebay at the mo Graeme .
Not sure if it comes with a car attached . Didn't say in the blurb.

More than double the price of the re-manufactured item and in this case I am led to believe the re-manufactured item is better.

I think you are right Graeme .
Materials deteriorate over their 40 odd years of acquiring the mantle of NOS .
Repro's using modern quality materials are quite noticeable in fortitude.
A few years back I bought a set of original NOS weather strips with the metal insert . Good score I thought . Lasted 2 years before the splitting started . Scott's repro's have shown no sign of deterioration after 5 years and still going strong .
I think we get sucked in with NOS.
I would imagine that NOS P6 badge would go that way in a short time too when exposed to sun , rain , snow ,sleet and a polishing every sunday.

Clive Osborne had a couple for sale at the show this weekend.
No idea if he still has them or how much?

What GRTV8 says.

The these badges are made from material which seems to deteriorate. Mine have what looks like stress fractures in them which can be seen in strong light. Whether this was always the case or its the result of progressive breakdown of the material I don't know. I'm inclined to believe it is UV related because I have an S1 and the grille badge isn't affected much but the boot badge (facing upwards) is.

I repainted and epoxy coated the back of mine so no problem there, but they are never going to look perfect.
