Got lucky enough to be invited to the Drive til dusk event last month. They normally invite about 20 people to bring and drive their cars at the NY safety track near Cooperstown NY. We arrive on the first afternoon, meet up for a meal then stay overnight at a small bed and breakfast. We basically take over the whole place as you can see from the car park the next morning.

Then we drive to NYST (about 40 mins away) and are split into two groups sorted by speed etc. Each group gets four half hour sessions on the track, enough time plus some. I’m pleased to say I kept the Alfa in the rear view mirror for the whole session.

The next day we do a 200 mile road rally on New England backroads to Troutbeck CT. All in all I reckon I did about 700 miles (75 on track) and the Rover didn’t miss a beat. We also surprised a few guys be easily keeping up on the backroads. Nobody suspects the Rover! :)

That pic of Beryl cornering with the teal Alfa in hot pursuit is excellent. Nice selection of cars there too. Great stuff. :thumb:
What's the white car with the dark stripes?

That’s the Cunningham C4RK replica. We made the wheels for it!

I wonder how much static negative camber you have set on the front of Beryl at the moment ? Have you ever taken tyre temps across the width of the front tyres after a session like that ?
Depending on temp readings perhaps try a little more negative and see how she goes.
Great photo !

Ooof! That Cunningham sure got beat hard with the ugly stick!
What tyres were you using before you changed to the Pirellis?

At rest I’d say it’s close to neutral camber. Tyre temps are fairly even after the session, especially after upping to about 34psi. Below that it was a little warm on the edges. I would agree a little more neg camber would be a good thing, she still tends towards understeer at the limit, I’m waiting on the mods to reset the camber (most likely this winter I think). Then I can shim and set camber to your suggested 0.5° (iirc).

It looks a lot better in real life if I’m honest. It’s also the only car that Dr Kamm had direct involvement in for the Kamm tail.

Previous tyres were Vredenstein Classic Sprints. They were ok, but became pretty slippery as they aged. The Pirellis were also a lot lighter under steering than the Vreds. I do know the Pirellis will wear faster though.
