Auto box flexi pipes.

Hello can anyone tell me the nut connection size and thread type, so i can look for one to be made up unless someone has a second hand one for sale? its the flexi hoses that bolt on to the bottom of the radiator from the autobox. mine have been completely removed prior and just looped off !! my car is a 1970 2000sc auto but i would assume the screw on connections and bore would all be the same across the board from v8 to mine?
if so im happy to neatly doctor a pair to fit the length as there's nowt on ebay as this is not something that breaks really. ( about a foot and a half from the rad to the solid autobox pipe )
Many thanks, Keith.

would have thought somebody had responded by now. check with Wins international ( kent) as he may well be able to supply both pipes and they will come with correct ends.
ideally we ought to check workshop manual as it will have item numbers for your model ( year) and will be easier to get result. if we cannot get hold of new pipes? ( very unlikely) there are many companies specialising in making hoses for anything from bikes to tanks. ( fork lifts being most common) we may be able to sort something locally. good luck

on my V8 the hoses look like the original ones, very hard and with cracks at the connecting units. But, the hoses are only connected to these "nipples", even without clamps. Ok, heapy has none of it, but why not using simple gas hoses (the better ones, resistant to oil and to higher temperatures) and hose clamps ?

Stuttgart, Germany :)
As you are owning a Holden, it sounds like Australia/New Zealand....
But anyway, do you think, the original rubber ones are made of a special rubber material ?

The rubber hoses are oil resistant,
I purchased some new correct hoses which i cut to length .
Got them from a company called Think
Automotive here in U/K .
They sell all types of aero quip pipes and Goodrich brake pipes made while you wait.
Cheers.
Clive.
