Are Rover P4 4 pot rockers the same as Land Rover 6 cyl rockers?

Hello all,

Are rockers no 505332 and 505333 (Rover P4) the same as 525910 and 525911 (Land Rover 6 cyl)? I am in need for rockers and 2 rocker shafts for my Rover P4 60 4 cylinder head that I put on my Land Rover Series 1 engine.

Thanks in advance.

This site says 505332 fits lots of models...
Obviously we assume its an IOE engine, so I have to ask, if the inlet rockers need replacing, whats the state of the exhaust rockers? And their shafts?
Nice and cheap too!

You may not need to know this, but here goes.
For the F head (Inlet Over Exhaust) engines there are 2 rocker shafts in the cam chamber for the rockers that work the exhausts directly, and the inlets via pushrods and another rocker. There are 2 shafts (front and rear) because the distributor body is in the way. There is a plug in the rear of the block that gives access to the rear shaft. You can get at the shafts from the rear (much less work than going in through the timing cover) if you cut a hole in the firewall in line with the rocker shaft plug and use an Easy-out welded onto a T handle - you may need to remove any shaft retaining bolts - memory rusty there. Then remove the distributor and you can pull the front rocker shaft. This method is actually documented in the little blue book on cars up to 1948. The main wear problem with these rockers is that the flash chrome plating on the cam face breaks up and then they wear rapidly - issue not solved until they were fitted with rollers in the 3L engine.
