I think you missed my point. These are to fit a Chev into a Landy, so I'm wondering if hoping they'll bolt up ok in a P6.

Hi, They are the same basic design, have 9/16" or 10mm studs and they are the same thickness. Leaf sprung LR mounts are 2 1/2" diameter and coil sprung and RR are 3" dia. The LR one's are double stacked and the P6b isn't. There aren't really any space constraints around the P6b but that may not be the case with the Chevy lump. The LR one's are likely to be stiffer but they're flatter mounted than the P6b which will tend to soften the stiffness somewhat. I did have a GMC diesel in the RR on those mounting rubbers and they gave no trouble. Take from all that what you will.

Having read the OP again properly I take it you're asking if those mounting adaptors can be used in the P6b? I would say that probably not because the LR chassis rails and mounts are further apart, 25" and the engine is offset to the left. It may be a case of offering it up and fabricating a mount bracket to suit.

Thanks @colnerov , that's the knowledge I was chasing. Looks like I'll be back to having some made up, but thats ok. @neil in surrey Which Corvette mounts are you thinking of? Are there some that are similar to the rover mount? Thanks guys.

Pray tell more?

Hi, I fitted a 6.2 V8 diesel which had the same 150bhp but 300lb/ft as opposed to the RV8s 200lb/ft, so it towed like there was nothing there. I did have issues with the starter, going through three of them, but I think that it was a combination of asking a lot to turn a 6.2 diesel over on 12v and that the GMC flexplate not being bolted to a torque converter was being partially pushed away out of mesh between starter gear and ring gear. Another issue was it did not like veg oil and used to surge on light throttle so had to stick with pump fuel. Other than that it gave sterling service, returned about 25mpg a little less than I hoped for but it didn't matter how I drove, it was still the same. When I had fitted the third starter I was understandably peed of at not being able to trust it and mentioned to a workmate that I might sell it, he jumped in and said "I'll buy it" so I waved goodbye to it but regretted it later.
