Anyone near Perth?

That's close enough to me to warrant a look.....hmmmmm

Perth is about 90mins away from me.

Waiting on a reply from my cousin who helps run the auction if I can get info or a look at it I will be in touch. I was hoping it would go under the radar and I might have had a bid myself! But hopefully able to help anyone who is keen cheers Tam

I suspect living only about 10 miles away that I am the closest. If I get a chance to go there work permitting I'll post up some pictures.

Problem is I'm trying very hard to persuade myself not put in a cheeky bid. :D

Managed to get a look at the car over lunchtime.

It looks to be in pretty solid condition but the chrome isn't good and there are quite a lot of little dents I assume from the storage. A lot of the car is speckled with dots of rust and any rubber parts I could see looked like they needed replaced.

I've added some pictures of some of the more obvious bad bits.

The auctioneer thinks the car will go for something between £1500 and £2000.

That could almost be a seaside car, couldn't it! That's the sort of damage you get from lots of salty air.

It's not a bad car and given some work I think it could be brilliant but it's too much work for me. Besides, ARJ has a respray to be done in the new year.

I would think someone with the time could get it looking wonderful again.

Simon was at the auction and we did have a battle plan - however bidding got to £1700, so sadly we had to let it go!

There was no MOT on the vehicle, despite it initially being advertised as MOT'd, so there's probably brake work to do at the very least before she gets on the road. Simon was very taken with the car indeed.

Cheers
Nick
