Hello everyone,

I've been a quiet member of your fantastic forum for some years, admiring the work of others and after much waiting, I am contemplating contacting the owner of this p6 on ebay.
Rover p6 1972 | eBay

The reg rings a bell from somewhere, but can't think where from. Does anyone recognise it?.

Thanks in advance
Rob

Nope, sorry... But I HATE adverts where the person can't even be bothered to make sure the photos are right right way up, pure laziness.

Could it be that many of the Rover-registered cars were on XC number plates, including brochure cars.

That’s one of the laziest ads I’ve seen on EBay. Nothing in the description. No engine bay shots you can only just see it’s a four cylinder car by the view near the front.

The company had access to, and a very close relationship with, the Solihull VRO which held the XC plate range from April 1964 until the 1970s. That said, only around 10% of cars on XC plates were Rover factory cars, with the majority of those being PED/Export vehicles.
