And now for some happy news!

I must admit, most times I'm on here it's for advice with a problem. Well, yesterday Reg (my S1P6B) and I had a fantastic outing. Just her and I on the open road, we did about 250km (155mi) on highways and twisty backroads. My only concern was the occasional temp fluctuation (getting new sender unit and thermostat tomorrow). Other than that she was such a nice car to drive. Not quick off the mark but effortless at speed, and it seems the faster we went the happier she was. So much better handling and ride than the other cars of similar vintage I've owned. I had The Quakes, ZZTop and Rory Gallagher on the stereo, but in the end turned it off just to listen to the engine. Such a great day, motivation to forgive all her ills!

Bliss. I'd turn the engine off and listen to Rory. Rory at the Ulster hall in the 80's, best concerts I've ever been to.

I would have LOVED to see him live. Unfortunately I was too young and in the wrong country! It took me a while to 'get into' his stuff but then I found that I was playing it too quietly. Now Rory is one of my favourite guitarists.
