Aftermarket front guard indicator

Someone’s added an indicator lens assembly to the front guard; any suggestions of what car this might be off? I can’t afford NOS NADA lens sets… I don’t really want to fit these but a legal requirement here it seems

IMHO thats an ugly place to put the repeater. More common would be above the badge. They are pretty much a legal requirement now (in Oz anyway). That one could be one of many - try browsing a Lucas catalogue, or Demon Tweaks lighting list.

Have a look at the early defender/range rover indicator.

I think it might even be the same part as the photo.

The original lense with 2 screws is shared with rover p5 so should be a few used ones and reproduction items. If you need red just tint the amber ones. I got a set from Scotts.

JP, good advice, thanks! Looks like Jag XJS and Mini MK2 have similar indicator assemblies; agree that “above the badge” looks way better but forward of that is where the inspection authority want the lenses placed; this, and fitting mirrors to the front guards, also well forward, is going to spoil my day…

This is a standard Lucas item that appeared first fitted to Mk2 ADO16s, continued to all sorts of BL cars throught the 1970's, and ended their life on Land Rover 90/110s in the late 1980's. If there is a legal requirement to fit them in front of the wheel arch, as the car in the photo, i think that it would look better fitted somewhat lower down, in line with the front facing repeater.
