Ace Cafe London - possible meet?

One of those Mk1s was in yellow, it looked very tidy in 3000 spec, but had twin pipes (1 each side I mean) and sounded remarkably like it had eight cylinders when it went by and parked...

Those Essex V6's certainly can make all the right noises. A mate of mine has two South African Sierra's with Essex engines fitted from new. One has an 'Ashley' exhaust fitted, the sound is fantastic!

you'll want to pop to the local banger track and hear an old Granny after it's lost the pipework then :)

I was wondering if that Yellow Mk1 was that Perana replica created by Will Holman who used to write in Pract Classics?

[ oh no. we'ved turned this thread into ford forum focus! argh :O ]

A friend of mine had one of the original 3.1 Capri's some years back. That was quite quick as I remember.
Enough of the Dagenham Dustbins though.....although my first car WAS an Anglia. My second was a 2000TC. :)
