AC Compressor Model

Hi All

I'm looking for either the model number or the displacement of the York compressor for the Delanair A/C fitted to the 4cyl NADA cars. The goal being to replace the York with a modern axial compressor of similar displacement.

Vern, i don't know if this is of any help, but i used a Sanden SD7H15 in my installation, using a perior Alpinair evaporator unit, that appears to be similar with the Rover Delanair unit.

Thanks for the offer. Sadly, by the 24th I need to have the new compressor in hand but even so if you could check it that I would appreciate, if only to confirm or reject the choice I'll have already made.

Here are some pics of the old York that was in my Rover, which I replaced for a Sanden unit.
TBH, the York isn't worth a knob of goatsh@t...marginal performance at best, and akin to throwing an anchor out the window when you turn it on.
The Sanden, by contrast, actually blows out icy air and is barely noticeable when running.
I bought the steel adapter plate straight of the internet from the U.S...$50 plus $25 postage.
It cost me $1200 to have installed, and i can honestly say it was the best money I spent on the car.
I have never driven a vehicle that emits so much radiant heat from the firewall and pedal box area as the P6b, and in the QLD summer, the Rover would have simply been intolerable to even drive without that A/C going. (flat out mind you)

I believe it is a York 209. There are 2 variants of the 209, one with the suction on the left hand side and the other with the suction of the right hand side. You could probably reroute the hoses so you could use the other type. The last number is 9 which is the displacement in cubic inches.
