2200 chain wheels

I need a new intermediate chain wheel on my 2200, I can get the older 2000 two part wheel cluster, to replace my double chain wheel. Can anyone tell me if these are interchangeable ?

I hesitate to question Harvey, but HBoL says you also need to change the oil pump driving shaft, oil thrower and fixing key and possibly the crankshaft chainwheel and pulley, although it is (typically!) not very clear on this last point. It also says that the modification was introduced as the separate chainwheel set-up was prone to failure. I think if it was my car I'd look around for the correct part.

I wouldn't argue the point, (much as I treat the HBoL with a healthy amount of scepticism), but like you it wouldn't be an issue for me anyway because I'd hunt down the later one.

The two piece cluster is very early, was changed to the one piece in early 1967, engine suffix H and on for SC & Auto, suffix B on on for TCs.
