2000TC SII RHD Now in VA

That's extraordinary, to see it there. And it's an absolute dead ringer for mine, apart from having been driven for 44,000 fewer miles.

How funny, tomorrow I'm going to Newark docks with a friend to pick up an identical car from the int'l shippers! He drove my TC a couple of years ago and bought one from the UK, a braver man than me. It'll join his collection up in CT.

Not quite sure who would buy this, as it’s hard enough to sell a LHD here and I can't see the value being there unfortunately.

I've noticed a definite uptick in interest in P6's here on the East Coast over the last year or two. I think they are finally getting some of the recognition they deserve.

I've been lucky enough to drive other people's cars (of differing kinds) and always offer the owners a chance to drive Beryl. Almost without exception they come back suprised at how well a properly set up P6 drives. See my above comment, the new owner of the car we're collecting tomorrow was amazed he could get a clean TC from the UK for GBP6k plus $2k for shipping. He bought the car after driving Beryl two years ago (I got to drive his 1952 Bentley R and his E type back then).

The problem with value is almost hurting the cars out there. It makes a lot of them uneconomical to restore which is a terrible shame.

I was thinking about an early 2000 resto job listed on Craigslist here in San Diego for ages but the price was in cloud cuckoo land. But now it disappeared from CL so maybe someone saved it. There was an average TC round here too that was on and off for ever - still could not sell. Lets face it you would have to be a nutcase to take that on here.

Yep, well there’s a lot of folks think they can get top dollar on a car that’s not all that. As I always say, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

If you're talking about the Wedgewood car up for $6k; it was sold. The buyer has been in touch.

Hopefully for less than $6K as it was in Wisconsin and had some rust warnings on the pics, but good news as it prevented me ending up with it. Are they local in Socal?
