1972 3500s P6b L/H Front Suspension Bottom Link & Bush Assembly 548057

These modded parts give me the heebie jeebies. I'm sure they're more than strong enough but I found the real macoy when I replaced mine. BTW the cut and sleeve is exactly what JR Wadhams does

I agree but faced with no new parts available just lay up or scrap the car? Looking deeper at the component design possibly the weakest point is the inner mounting bolt which has a smaller CSA than the strut so likely to shear first in the region of 3T load or the inner mounting brackets on the body might fail or just get ripped away as they are also ultimately welded to the car body.

I'd be happy if I'd done that, but when you buy them you never know how well they've been done. Do those ones come with a welding certificate?

I'd probably go good secondhand. These actually don't seem to wear much. Mine were on 150k miles and actually turned out to be OK. I keep it as a spare.

They are very difficult to get for the V8s, hence making them from the 4 pot ones.
