can any one help me. i have just bought a rev counter for my rover and i need to know where the wires go.this is the original p6 clock 6000rpm for a v8.
cheers :D :D

Rev counters for the 4 cyl 2000 are red lined at 6,000 rpm, those for the V8 at 5,200 rpm, this applies to both series 1 and series 2 varieties. Be sure you have the right one, they are not interchangeable! Presuming you are talking about the series 1 where the rev counter lives with the clock in a searate pod alongside the strip speedo housing, then V8 ones are extremely rare indeed.

Gareth,
Here is a page of optional equipment circuits taken from a Rover 2000 owners manual. It includes a circuit for an optional Rev Counter. Hope that helps.
