Someone advised to replace a worn 10.5 piston from the 88.90 cylinder bore with a Discovery piston ('mill it 20 thou to reach 10.3 or so) from the same bore of 88.90 mm.
Question: What Discovery engine(s) do(es) have the right bore of 88.90 mm ?
24D00001 is 9.35:1 which you bring up to 9.95 or so which is about the most you'll get 95 unleaded to run well at.
Other than that you'd need SD1 EFi pistons which are 9.75:1.
If you can find a 10 bolt heads (which are the best flow wise) then you don't need to skim it to bring the CR up. Run it with a tin gasket instead of the composite one.
