This is what happens when you undo the screws:

It's going to be a bit difficult to repaint....

The only criticisms: Wrong wheel covers and the medaillon on the bootlid is too small and in the wrong position.

It's been a while & our son requested that I made him a model of our V8S 'BOP'. The manufacturer of the 1:18 models are now different to the original ones & some of the parts are slightly different. The bonus is that they're cheaper!

Anyway, I deliberated & the best one to pick seemed to be the police version as it had the right wheels & interior (almost). Here it is a few weeks ago:

And now that it's finished:

Thats got to be the best Christmas post by far!
Love your dedication in panel and spray work Phil.

How much did the car cost?

Dont think I have seen any of those available this side of the pond, may have to look at buying one in.

very good job !

I recently came across an unmade spare 1:24 scale kit of a series 1 2000 & have started to build it up to resemble 'OCC':

It was a bit of a poor mould with some air bubbles & creases on it, but I've cleaned those up.

It's taken a long time to get this one finished due to it being more of a collection of 'seconds' bits I've had left over, but I'm pleased with the result overall :):

Mmm - that wheel looks a bit bent...

Ohhh, the wheels. Printed or bought? Need some 14" Rostyles myself.

Bought from ebay ;) set of 4 BBS wheels 1:18. They came in black, just a basic wheel, brake disc, caliper and tyre, all the same colour and all one piece.

I painted the centres and have made a set of centre caps (Stickers) to fit. Closest I could get to the SD1 Vitesse wheels on Sparky.

There were some rostyles on there the other day

Looking good. It's going to be tricky in this large scale to get a completely convincing vinyl roof effect as the grain should be fairly apparent.
