your radio cassette player, what is it and why?

Just saw this on ebay, might be of interest to somebody looking for old school stuff. My phone doesnt have a headphone socket so no use to me, but for that I would have been in there like a shot. Upgraded Vintage Retro Stereo Classic Car Radio, LW MW, 50s 60s, Auxiliary Cable | eBay

your radio cassette player, what is it and why?

Its a function over form issue. There isn't much room available behind the fascia as the speakers fittings come close to the front fascia. I tried an old lucas switch I had lying around and it was way too big for the space available. Hence the cheap nasty switch with a very small rear footprint...

your radio cassette player, what is it and why?

This will be a two part answer now as two people have questions. So, when I bought the car there was a blanking plug in the hole. No hint of reserve showing inside the car and at the time was also something I never knew even existed. The switch was one I had lying around and although not period...

your radio cassette player, what is it and why?

A truly cheap and nasty bit of tat. It works. The car came with a fairly nice head unit, and an ok spare head unit too. But I wanted bluetooth and was still reelong from buying the car so went for this. No cd player, just mp3 via usb stick or sd card (or bluetooth obviously). Radio as well. Its...

    Wins International

I have to join this thread. Geoff has helped get my car back to a happier place than it was. His prices seem very fair, his dispatch times and delivery have been perfect. Of 3 separate orders that come to mind, steering idler, speedo cable and bonnet cable, all arrived the following day. Plus he...

On another note, wins came through on the bonnet cable for 30 quid a in. Considerably cheaper than the 50 odd quid the other notable regular came in at.

Have to leave that to others to answer. If it helps narrow it down I got it from Worcester. But that could have been the guy that bought it so maybe not that much use.

Looks a lot better there than it is now, its not terminal, but trust me when I say it looks a lot more weathered today. But awesome to see in that condition. Thanks for sharing

I'd worked out the sidelights were aliens. But I kind of like them, especially with drivers around here, anything that lights up is good. Am good with the steering wheel for now, it actually feels like its a little better to drive on the motorway with the smaller item, but maybe I am imagining...

Thats a relief, was expecting a horror story. So far, niggles aside, I love the old girl.

I should start off with my car is not a matching numbers 'as it left the factory' car. I once put an image of my modified Ducati on a Ducati forum and the reception was more like I had stamped on their pet kittens than a welcome. with that out of the way, I bought a p6 a month or two back. I...
