Yes have checked all those and very firm with no play I am wondering if part of the problem could be the rubber pad for the support bracket that feels a bit on the soft side, i have another one in the shed some where might try replacing it. Derrick.

Thank you for your reply,what ohm resistance should they read on the primary and secondary side. this one in the car at the moment reads 3.4 on the primary side and 16000 on the secondary. iam wondering if this could be the reason why the plugs are going black after a few miles. may be the spark...

This jet in the accelerator pump complete is leaking and cannot be firmed down it appears that the thread is damaged. is their a helicoil fix for this problem or have some of you learned people got a repair suggestion. thanking you for all advice. regards Derrick.
I could not get this obstinate little device out from the inside, so i persevered and after many twist and turns i removed it from the outside only to find the coil had shorted out. any advice on the replacement or repair thanks again in anticipation. regards Derrick.
