I picked up these cufflinks on eBay. Can't find any information online about where they might have come from, other than a reference in James Taylor's book "Rover P6 The Complete Story" that a set of branded cufflinks may have been among the gifts given out at the Press Launch in October 1963...

Just to close this out for anyone else who finds this thread in future... I ordered a replacement from Rimmer Bros after confirming the dimensions with their customer service people. Happy to report that it's identical to the original and a perfect fit.

Welcome aboard, I've an identical 1968 2000 SC. They're great cars. My gear change is pretty good, so hopefully you'll get yours sorted. I'm sure it's a very different driving experience to the Imp!

I think it's supposed to be the same as the carb one, seems to be the same part number. Just measured this evening with a micrometer, the original one is 5mm diameter, the modern replacement is 6mm. I could drill a bigger hole in the fuel tap arm but would prefer to get the right pin if possible.

It will probably physically fit, but you might not be able to push the front seats all the way back. My series 1 has inertia belts from a previous owner but they rub on the seats.

That's exactly what I did in the end, and Geoff got me sorted. For the record, the belt that arrived (which fits perfectly) has the part number AVX10X0905LA. I imagine this means it's 10mm x 905mm.

I just stuck static belts in the original mounting holes in mine. A bit of an untidy mess, but at least they're period?!

Yes, all mountings were there from standard. Upper rear mounts were too far forward for inertia belts so I'm stuck with statics. It should have the grey Irvine statics in the front but a previous owner has ditched them for aftermarket black inertia reel belts.

Thanks for all the kind comments. There are plenty of areas where it's not perfect, but after doing a lot of work to the interior and a wee bit of tidying of paintwork, it's a nice usable family classic.
