    It's most common to be the sender. I recently had the same issue and the old sender had a small internal leak which made the sender to read incorrect pressure, on idle the pressure was high and it was droping when reving up.

    Hi Correct valve clearance: Inlet 0,20 mm (0,008") Exhaust 0,30 mm (0,013") So cylinder 3 are to thigh and need adjustment.

    Yes it might be a rare one. There has never been any rust and never any backseat passengers. Date of build is 23 March 1976 and for some reason it were built with V8-type front swivel and brake calipers. The only non original part is the reservoir for the brake/clutch fluid.

    Water pump on rover 2200

    There is no problem in using a short neck water pump instead of a long one. It's only the fan blade that will be I bit far behind the radiator, the pulleys will align. I have used a short one on my 2200 TC 1976 for many years and no heating problem.
