    Another MOT

Well she passed another MOT today, for 44 years old it passes easier than my everyday car but why does it always rain when its booked in, the cars filthy. Pete

    stolen car

seam welded shells can be used in either, I know a lot of stolen ford parts go to Ireland as when my Cosworth was stolen I was shocked with what I found out but lets hope the car gets a safe return

The auction, would it have been at brooklands as a nice TR6 went through there today, I didn't see what it went for though, what car are you after now then.

    stolen car

I would imagine it is in a container in bits going to Ireland for the rally cars over there. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31755960

    MOT time.

I have short arms and deep pockets so not for me, surely that must be a regrettable sale, I think I would hold out for ardy to sell as you still have a P6 as your daily. Pete

I am impressed that your using the old girl in this weather, I cant bring myself to take the car out in fear that the salt will leave me with a brown pile of dust where once my car stood. Pete

    V8 diff

How easy is it to replace the diff, I have another as the last one had a leak, after putting in a garage to have it done they made a pigs ear of it, so able to tackle on axel stands or a nightmare. Pete

    Oldest V8 ?

Pilkie you are the forums answer to Edd china and Mike Brewer all in one, keeping another classic on the road, I thought that would of been a keeper.

    The Rover P6 on Facebook!

I have never really understood facebook, people updating that they are shopping or playing some game and got a new high level, My wife has an account but that's only to see what my daughter is up to, I will stick with forums for now.

    Which model of p6?

I am pretty new to rovers and have had the V8 and a late 2200sc, to me the v8 drives nicer with power steering, proper gauges instead of strip speedo and sounds fantastic. Mine isn't original with full S1 looks, S1 interior etc but the joys of the S2 just wish I had more time to drive it.

    Members ages

Certainly a wide range of ages, I thought that there would have been more 50+ than there is with the age of the cars etc but quite a few younger generations as well, can only be a good thing to keep the interest in the clubs and model. Pete

    Talago in Classic & Sportscar

now I am pretty much a rover virgin as mine is my first P6 and I don't see too many similarities between the 2 pictures, bumper and front valance are similar but wrong angle, bonnet different, grill different, saying that with over 40k in it surely in the flesh it must be a stunning car that you...

the joys of getting older, I pay £85 including breakdown.

    Wolf in sheeps clothing.

I don't think I have ever owned a classic car and made money on resale, classic cars take looking after and making them the best you can be is part of ownership, I have come across some owners of more luxury marks a bit snobbish, best bunch I go to meets with is the north west kent morris minor...
