As for the Denovo car, after running her up to temperature on a small satellite tank with fresh fuel, then on the main tank again until reserve was reached after which we shut her down, she resolutely refused to fire from cold on the old juice even with a jerrycan-full of fresh Esso E5 on top of...
Another workshop move has pushed the Denovo car project on & mostly complete assemblage has been achieved under the bonnet & over the past couple of days she has been persuaded into running again. A few teething problems with the nearside carburettor being somewhat reluctant to perform were...
But not available to any P6 owner to actually use on their P6 due to DVLA reg's. It's an extremely daft rule when applied to forty year old cars because who on earth is going to think they're newer cars than they are & who would care anyway?
SOLD:-
I doubt that l'll use these myself so if any one has any interest in them l'm looking for £200 for the five wheels & three of the rear hubs which leaves a pair for anyone who just wants those. I don't have Front hubs. Collection from Epping, Essex. Localish delivery or meet-up possible...
The blue wire is for NADA models, it's the warning buzzer when the keys are left in the ignition.
I suppose a dry joint is possible, yours looks decidedly grubbier than mine was so l never had to go that far.
I just pulled the cork from a bottle of Merlot. The wine was good (though had a fair amount of residue at the bottom) but the cork was very poor quality.
It only falls apart if you take it out wrongly, like l did. ISTR I prised it out in frustration before l knew about the little screws. You can open it up to fault-find when you have it out.
The switch is independently fitted into the lock so no need to remove it or the column. Two very small screws hold the switch into the lock & they can be a PITA to remove.
S2 Ignition Switch.
After re-facing minimum thicknesses are:
Front - .455" (11.43mm)
Rear - .330". (8.38mm)
A quick google throws up original sizes of 12 - 14mm though 12 sounds like it's close to the minimum already.
I would go for Securon, they're good belts. The listed Sd1 belt will also fit the P6. You just have to cut off the B/C post bracket which is the only difference.
