    Jensen Rostyles on a P6b?

Hi gang, Do 15in Jensen Rostyles fit on a P6b? I know that the GKN alloy wheels do but in my trawling through the web, I can only find p6b's on p5b Rostyles, so I'm assuming they will fit, but it may not be ideal. Apparently they are 15x5.5in on MkI Interceptors and then 15x6in on MkII's.

    Upgraded swaybar swap

Decided to do a quick write up and picture dump of how I swapped over to a larger swaybar on my p6b. (plus a few niggles that I found). 1. Car with front wheels up in the air. Luckily I had access to a hoist which then has a sub hoist underneath it, so I was able to get the car up in the air...

Cue bush jokes. Saturday Smut... (BW65 sloppy shifter)

Had the problem for a little while, but in a nutshell the shifter on my BW65 box'd car is very loose and there is a lot of "slop" between where the shifter sits for different gears. We had the car up on the hoist and couldn't see anything wrong, so I think that part number 571933 has probably...

4.6 engine swap parts list. (plus Supra W58 gearbox)

Hi all, I've scoured differnet forums and book of faces and I thought I'd make a list of everything that I'll need to swap in a 4.6 into my p6b. Ron and others, can you chime in with your experiences and thoughts on what I'll need? Engine: 4.6 block - top hat linered heads - I have SD1 heads...

    Single charcoal canister equipped cars

Hi guys I have a very late series II car, so mine has Australian/Japanese market carbs with twin charcoal canisters. I want to ditch one of the canisters so that I can mount a radiator overflow bottle. Can someone please take a couple of clear shots to show how their fume hose from the fuel...

    centre console removal (automatic)

Hi gang, I've got a new rubber boot for the handbrake, how do I take the rear centre console off so that I can fit it? I had a quick look in the dark last night and couldn't see any retaining screws.

    painting the "rostyle" hubcaps

Hi guys, my ocd has kicked in and I am sick of looking at the paintless hubcaps on my late p6b. So, how do I go about repainting the black areas of the rostyle type hubcaps? I was going to chemically strip the remnants of the old black paint off, clean everything thoroughly, then mask off the...

    new front disc suppliers

Long story short, where can I get (preferably in Australia) new front discs for a P6b? I see prices varying from 45 pounds through to 73, so I'm wondering what the difference is (only Unipart makes them by the look of it?)

Australia: 3500S rough but cheap. SOLD.

I'm having a mid life crisis and I need to sell everything I own to buy a Ducati after I crashed my triumph yesterday. Basically it's a rough 3500S with everything there mechanically, but bits have been stolen off it like the front seats (I think). Still has the manual box, still has all the...

Are all V8 steering idlers the same?

My steering idler needs to be replaced, I have a spare of a eggcrate grille V8 (guessing its an Australian market Series II), did V8 steering idlers stay the same through the P6b model run or are there variants? Just that I'm about to ship my spare one interstate and I don't want to get it back...

    Papa Smurf. Aussie 3500S.

long story short, a few months ago on gumtree I saw an ad for a car exactly the same as mine - brown, vinyl roof, sheepskin interior, tow bar, same Aussie/NZ spec aircon etc etc. Ad mentioned that a 3500S came with it as a parts car. I ummed and ahhhed about it too long and it sold. Forward to...

    dash gauge swap (round dials)

I have two complete dashboard clusters for round dials, one has a PSI marking for the oil pressure, the other has something else (it's slipped my mind) Can I swap over the gauge unit itself without having to swap the sender over as well? AND are there any differences in the clocks? My clock...

16x7.5 Watanabe wheels - Melb, Australia

Sadly I need money to fix things, so these have to go: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17539&p=145868&hilit=swmbo#p145868 They cost a small fortune to get to Australia and they're the only ones here in Aus. ~$700 and they're yours. I'm sure they'll fit with some low profile tyres and some inner arch work.

show me your propshaft to differential bolts! :)

I've come to realise that the rear end of my car is a bit of a grab bag of incorrectly sized bolts, washers and nuts. I used what I thought was a factory prop shaft bolt to buy some replacements, now I realise that it was probably a replacement for a factory one and is too long. Can someone...

Bolt/washer/spacer combination for driveshaft to disc mating

Hi chaps. it's late, I've lost the parts manual and the WM doesn't really show it. When you bolt the driveshafts to the rear disc, how do they bolt up? I have 4 bolts, 4 washers and 4 spacers (ie thick washers). thanks

V8 (late) diff extension tube washers/spacers

Hi guys I've nearly finished putting my V8 diff back in to my late V8 car and I've realised that I am missing some bits. I need the two bits shown with the red and blue lines: Mine's a late car, but here are the part numbers: 527394 is the big washer, RTC611 is the small washer, 90572615 is...

    Australian 3500S :(

This popped up on ebay and on gumtree a while ago. It's extremely cheap for an "S". I've just had a baby so my time is limited and it would sit for years before I got to it, one of you Aussies might be able to grab a bargain. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/melton/c ... 1041113763

small dodgyness - diff extension seals.

So Ron and a few others recommended changing the diff housing extension seal before stuffing it all back together. Rather than try and do it when the diff was back in the car (ie and use the rest of the driveline to stop the driveline from rotating as you undo the bolt holding the flange on), I...

    Different trans tunnels for BW35/BW65?

I was chatting with someone the other day and I mentioned that I have a BW65 V8 car and am planning to put a Supra/Celica/generic Toyota W58 gearbox in. He replied that it's near on impossible as the BW65 cars had smaller trans tunnels than that earlier BW35 cars. Anyone else heard/seen this? I...
