    Heater Box seals

I've had a radiator built with a new core and some bits from my OG radiator and a spare I had. The heater matrix though was just a goner though, which explains why the inside of my heater box has rusty areas. Apparently it's hard to rebuild one. My car doesn't have the AC part inside the...

    Heater Box seals

I have a box here with some seals in it from Famous Four but have had a few other things on the go and got told that my heater matrix/core is beyond repair. Does anyone know the correct heater core to buy for NZ cars with aircon? I have another core on my workbench but am at the stage now where...

    P6B S Project Car

I had richer jets fitted when I had twin K&N filters on and it was too much - only went up one jet size too. I reckon you'll be fine with the new induction setup.

    Heater Box seals

I'm at the stage where I just close my eyes and click buy. It's still a cheaper hobby than crack!

    Heater Box seals

If anyone in Australia wants the seal that sits on the firewall, flick me a message. About to order one and a power steering filter from Famous Four (cheers for the heads up @jp928) - may as well order some more and save on postage if anyone else is after one.

    3500S manual pedal box

All good - I've got the two books, it's more that I have complete RHD 3500S conversion parts that I bought years ago, but have sat in poor storage for about a decade, plus some new parts that I bought and forgot about.

    Decal Placement Reference Library

Gents, I've got my heater box almost apart and found Classic Reproductions mentioned which does the red on black Smiths Warning label. Does anyone make the other Smiths label that has the part number on it (white text on a black background - has "Code: FHR4414/09" written on it) Also is there a...

    3500S manual pedal box

Thanks Bernd - hey Steve, let me sort out everything when I've got all my parts on the bench in front of me.

    3500S manual pedal box

Cheers gang, yes they are very different parts. I actually have a RHD pedal assembly but it is rusted solid. One pedal will not move. I tried soaking it with penetrating fluid, putting it in a press etc and it wouldn't free itself. Last effort was heating it with a torch but unfortunately the...

    Neatening the boot lining

Same problem with mine, plus the boot lid liner collapsed and fell apart into about 5 pieces.

^ unfortunately I just realised this about ten minutes ago.

    3500S manual pedal box

Will a LHD and RHD pedal box be the same? Hadn't even thought of that.

    3500S manual pedal box

Perfect - that looks exactly like what I'm after. @The Rovering Member - a 4 cylinder one causes issues with things in the engine bay and heat soak apparently. (all going from memory years ago when I first started reading about the swap)

    3500S manual pedal box

Hi all, I'm after a pedal box from a 3500S. I have all of the lines etc, I just need the complete pedal box assembly. Converting my car from an auto to a manual and its one of the few parts I don't have. Happy to pay freight etc from anywhere to Australia. Thanks

    Heater Box seals

Yes I successfully managed to drill through part of a finger last night while drilling out some rivets. @jp - have the whole engine out and bonnet off so hopefully refitting is pretty straightforward. Has anyone fitted valves or a heater matrix bypass in the coolant lines? Not having hot...

    Heater Box seals

Thanks all. I just had a look at your thread @jp928 and I think I can see what’s happened with mine. The rod has backed itself out of the splines in the cast linkage part. There’s barely a few mm of the rod poking through. I’ll give it a disassemble and see what’s happened. Thread on the...

    Heater Box seals

Hi all, Took my heater box out on the weekend - which needed new foam seals etc, and have managed to strip the splines on the top rod (opens the flapper door that leads to the panel in front of the windscreen). Have people come up with a way of securing the rods to the cast aluminium pieces...

    P6B S Project Car

It looks like it may fit - P6b sump shallow 'shelf' at the front runs from the front of the sump to roughly around the second bolt hole along the side of the sump. (Am staring at the parts book and my own P6b motor on my garage floor).

Good write up on the Group 2 cars

Unfortunately Shannons has a few journo's that never let the facts get in the way of a good story - Mark Oastler used to be the editor of a pretty good car magazine here in Australia (Street Machine), and they used to repeat some of the same inaccuracies etc. Apparently 806D is for sale now...

    Jensen Rostyles on a P6b?

Tyres are 205/70/R15. If I keep the wheels I'll be going to a 195/50 or 60 profile tyre.

    Jensen Rostyles on a P6b?

Nope, not interested in the GKN alloy wheels off a Jensen, I'm interested in the Jensen MkII Rostyles.

    Jensen Rostyles on a P6b?

Hi gang, Do 15in Jensen Rostyles fit on a P6b? I know that the GKN alloy wheels do but in my trawling through the web, I can only find p6b's on p5b Rostyles, so I'm assuming they will fit, but it may not be ideal. Apparently they are 15x5.5in on MkI Interceptors and then 15x6in on MkII's.

Rubber moulding at the base of the rear windscreen

Just a heads up, I bought a Scotts Auto rubber seal and it did not fit well. I know Scotts sold a lot of his stuff to the UK so you may end up with the same problem as me if Winns' got theirs from Scotts.
