Sparky looks stunning Richard, I love the seats too. I'm curious though, does it still smell like an old Rover (You know what I mean) with all that new leather in there?
Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted, bodywork finished!!
Excellent work Damian, it looks even better than I thought it would. I also like the Autobot logo! And the blue dots, and the wheels, and the colour... and, well you get the idea. It's testament to all the hard work you've put in.
I can't wait to see this interior all back together. I know you didn't set out to necessarily have a top class car but it certainly looks like it's going that way... lucky old Sparky!
Thanks guys, I'm taking it as fate as to what happens...
There will be a clause in the sale that means whoever buys it has to;
a) Keep up the thread on here.
b) Give me first refusal if they want to sell it again (after all, it's not like a girlfriend who won't take you back is it? )...
It's flame red actually... ;-)
I've been debating for a while to be honest, Jinx's antics with the inner sills and bonnet failure have left a sizeable dent in my finances. I'm a bit fed up of scrimping month to month. I've had a bit of interest, but no takers yet... we'll see. Whoever turns up...
Thanks Guys,
It really is the support of you lot that gives me the motivation to carry on with this car. I really appreciate the offers of bonnets too, I think I'm sorted for one but if it doesn't come off I'll be in touch with one of you to take up your kind offers. An engineer is going to...
Thanks Guys, I really appreciate the offer of a bonnet too Richard, I'll let you know if I need it. Having calmed down a touch I'm pleased to have escaped the disaster that could have happened and grateful to be okay!
It was a major kick in the ribs after handing over the thick end of a month's...
Okay - So it's been an expensive couple of weeks, Jinx failed it's MOT on the inner sills which was a major blow, they were shot. After much deliberation and weighing up I decided to make the investment and get Clive to sort them out for me. It was a major piece of work and I'll post some...
Just getting myself back on track financially so there hasn't been much going on with Jinx recently, that all changed today however. Jinx went for it's MOT today and has decided it quite fancies some new inner sills.
Watch this space...
What a lovely day, thanks to the Grays and Co for their excellent organising skills.
The day flew by for me, some nice pictures of Jinx and Sparky there too Richard.
Absolutely you do...
And the visuals are only part of it in my opinion. It's all too easy to forget what's under the hood, Jinx and Sparky played a little on the way out the motorway (within legal limits of course) and I can testify that Sparky is one seriously rapid car.
The photos don't do it justice to be honest, it really is a stunner. You don't get the full effect of either quality or the colour from the pictures, I was green with envy  .
Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork
Yeah... but blue dots look cool! Legal Schmegal!
Your car is looking awesome already Damian, there is something I love about a rust free, half painted car on a set of immaculate rims. Probably reminds me of the old 'Garage Scene'...
Oh yeah... regarding the badges, what he said ^^. I love the clean and uncluttered look, the badges are a bit cheap and nasty looking in my humble opinion. Nobody needs to know what's under the hood anyway. Make them guess, it's more fun.
What a beautiful car you now have. Sparky is now one of the most coveted P6's out there and by god you deserve it!
Now then, about that spin you promised to take me for...
I'm booking my place in the passenger seat for a ride fairly soon then!
That boot repair is looking really good, I think it's definitely money well spent.
