    Which oil filter?

Hiya folks, Just wondered which oil filter is recommended for the P6? I'm currently running a Fram PH25, but I'm finding it hard to get hold of another at a sensible price. My car has the 13/16ths thread oil filter plate, so won't fit the later 3/4" thread as run on Range Rovers etc. I did...

    Breaking my green Nada

Hi Dave, I'd still like the front inner wings (where the outer wings mount to the body) if the bodyshell is being cut up :)

    Wanted - Desmo mirror

Hi folks, I'm after a Desmo mirror similar to the one below... almost any condition considered, and I only *need* the mirror head :) It *must* have convex glass, although the convex-ness is only a couple of mm across the glass so hard to notice :) Anyone got anything? :D

    Tracing BristolJimmyCigar

Hi Stefan, Can you get someone to write them a cheque? :) They're still a little bit stuck-in-the-dark-ages. Over here you find a lot of government bodies won't accept cash :) Cheers, Jim

    New Member - London - P6, a Practical Classic!

Welcome :) have you any pictures of your car? Sounds similar to mine, which is a red S1 V8 with 5 speed conversion and a white roof. :) My car does have a working speedometer, but it under-reads by about 25%... (so it reads 21mph at an actual 30mph...)

how long have you been hanging around the forum?

I started hanging around here when I got my P6... my first Rover :)

    More 5-speed waffle... MX5?

As the owner of a '90 MX5, they are very nice gearboxes to use - a nice smooth shift. That said, the gear ratios of my MX5 really wouldn't suit a P6. You'd need to ensure you have a suitable diff ratio as otherwise you'll quickly be frustrated with it on the motorway - I don't know how the 2000...

    Isofix in a p6?

A friend of mine fitted ISOfix to his VW Beetle a while ago, using parts from Ford. Here are a few links that may help: http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=744301 http://www.volksworld.com/blog/staff-bl ... en-beetle/ Just make sure you have adequate (load) spreader plates, as in a...

    P6 V8 insurance costs?

When I was 22, I think the insurance on my S1 P6 V8 was under £400 a year. That included a 5 speed gearbox conversion and a few other bits and pieces modified from factory spec. :) Now I'm 26, it's under £100 a year 8)

    Brigade Red Paint

I'd probably agree, although my '70 3500 was Brigade Red from the factory (and still is now :D ) You have to be joking, right? I'd say the Beetle makes the P6 look under-engineered. P6 is more salubrious, not to mention faster, smoother and quieter. But the quality of castings...
