Yes thats the very fella, sits into the gearbox held in by a retaining clip, I take it theres some kind of oil seal too then cable connects to it, I have cables by the way, Thanks again, Keith.

Hi all I need help sourcing a speedo drive for my 5 speed conversion, It was done before my time and has never worked, When I finally got round to investigating it seems that there are bits missing down there, it has an orange drive with 20 teeth but its damaged at the other end and has no oil...

On the subject of SD1 gearboxes my P6 has one fitted and the speedo drive at the gearbox end has been botched and stripped, I'm now looking for a drive pinion / transducer orange with 20 teeth to get me through the MOT and on the road again, Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks :roll:

Hi all, Further to my item in the steering section, I bought one of the mountney wheels and bosses shown, Looked lovely but the boss splines were different to my 3500s ones, To their credit BBCLASSICCARS gave me a total refund, Regards, Keith.

I now know what chrisyork meant when he said that he had a centre boss specifically for the P6 that wouldnt fit, The Mountney one that I bought wont fit either and it clearly states on the box for Rover 2000-3500 up to 76, great pity now I will have to bodge it or something.

Re: Bosses Hi again, As a further to my last posting I managed to find a nice Mountney wheel with 3 alloy spokes on ebay, it has a boss to fit the p6, And I have a 3500s centre badge which sets it all off nicely, Regards, Keith.

Hi all, Thats typical of my luck, I now have 3 codes for Almond, Ruediger-Wicke quotes 170, Colin has GN-37, and Halfords came up with 161, My 1973 P6 needs touch up soon, Keith.

Re: Bosses Thanks Chris, My 3500S came with a nice original rover bakelite 15inch wheel unfortunately its not the correct one and now I have to either find a proper one or a nice alternative, Why cant folk leave things alone Grrrr, Anyone have a wheel or a suitable Boss?. Rgards, Keith.
