This morning I took a look together with the mechanic and he thinks the entire linkage needs to be overhauled, in addition to fitting a new rear bush. Now, I was wondering if you can help me collect all the replacement parts which go into overhauling the linkage. Would be great. Thanks

hey guys, I'm having both of these issues since some years. now I figured that decreasing idle speed mitigated the getting into reverse issue. However it slips out constantly. Now, I'm not able to look into it on my own and asked a mechanic to check the gear linkage, gearbox etc. He was...
this worked. I got now a refurbished carb. The sparks have been black. I hope they will clean themselves. Seems I also need to turn down the idle speed, it's roughly 1k. I believe 700 rpm would be good, no?
thinks are getting clearer here. I got sent CSK 59 (for HS2 or HS4) instead of CSK 58 (HIF6). Unfortunately the latter is out of stock atm. Any ideas where to get this one. Thanks
so you're saying the tag which mentions AUD521 is correct, so I guess I first need to check what I purchased exactly. I ordered the kit for AUD 521 at Ruddies in Berlin, they resell Burlen kits in the EU, maybe they sent something different.
bummer, the info on the tab was wrong, and the AUD 521 o-ring etc. don't fit. says my mechanic. Instead I got AUD 3450, it seems. I couldn't find anything in this regard. I checked this catalog to no avail. Any ideas?
How can I find out which carbs I got. It's a P6 3500 S from 1973, and the the engine number is 48107614C.
I think the AUD521 is correct but how can I be sure?
I need to get the proper service kit
Thanks

I bought this one but then decided not to use it. I have it though running in a 2nd P6 V8 - it does its job quite well. It comes with original packaging. Totally new, hasn't been used.

Hi guys, I think I ran into the same issue however my imagination is somehow limited. Could you provide a pic of the DIY replacements. Would be great. Thanks
Since some time I observe (aka I'm having troubles) a very strange behaviour of the P6 3500S gearbox.
1) the reverse gear hardly stays in place if there's onyl a tiny object in th way or it's uphill. And shifting makes a lot of noise 90% of the time
2) I cannot shift any gear (I tried mainly 1...
Mine (3500S '73) is def too high (around 1k rpm). Can I adjust this easily? How would I do this or is this rather a specialist's job?
PS: are there any side effects if it's too high?
Hi Ron, it actually came without it but I got myself a used one. But somehow it doesn't fit. Is a moving battery an issue; it would move only a bit as it sits very tight.
