@mrtask long ago, before the days of the cross bolting, this 4 bolt main cap arrangement was the way of bracing up the mains. This will, in turn, be girdled also to stiffen up the rear end. I suppose if I charge enough I could make a comfortable living off wide boided arches and pub car park...

Running a 2.88:1 Powerlok out of a Series 3(?) XJS. That'll be turned over be a Leyland McCormack F5000 donk Wings, undecided. I'd happily make them for those serious about taking them racing. No such much form the twat thats taking it to the pub car park...

So male patterns, female mold templates back to male wings?

Oh, its a huge amount of work, especially when looking to get the finished surface for painting. Did you end up using the steel wings as a base with eh flairs fitted?

So been chipping away at these for a while, firstly templates of a set of original wings, then a set of moulds taken in the female off the templates, then a set of final wings taken off them. I do, however, now that I have templates and moulds, habe the ability to make multiple sets.

So sump was off today. Found the front servo release pipe to be in the sump when sump was removed today . Looking at the WM, I find the 2 to 3 valve has a feed to front servo release pressure from the servo release pipe. I assume this being disconnected or lose would result in a delayed or none...

I'll have a look again this evening. Interestingly enough, this is the valve body that was fitted to the 303 that originally lost reverse way back at the start of the post. I'll have a look at the supply pipe. I found that when I would build the revs up car would engage into reverse but felt...

Back on this car today and I've fitted the Valve block that was without slip. I now seem to have lost third I don't have reverse. I believe this is the rear servo? but any ideas welcome. Any idea what might have happened here? I might add it now pulls like a train in first and second. Fraser

I can now actually revise that statement. When cold, the box behaves as you'd expect. When hot, however, it starts to jump out of all gears and once up to speed doesn't really engage drive often. When at idle at the traffic lights, you can feel the car engaging drive then disengaging, then...

The valve body came out of a 303 box from a UK built car. The 7FU box which is currently fitted, was originally in the car in question which is a 1970 3500. the only thing I've noticed is its a bit of a sharper change on the 1/2 and reverse is a bit if a thud.

Surely I just put the know to be working governor in instead? Though it is the latter, non rebuild able type most likely.
