My old '72 P6B on carandclassic...

Spotted this the other day, I owned it from April 2010 to late 2013, I sold it to a nice lady in Coleshill, Warwickshire and it's found its way down to Oxfordshire... 1972 rover p6 3500 auto For Sale | Car And Classic The black interior it had has been replaced but it still has the raised...

    Soundtracks

Sadly I'm without a P6 at the moment but in my last one ('72 P6B Auto) I used to listen to film and TV soundtracks a fair old bit - The Long Good Friday, Get Carter, The Sweeney, The Professionals, The Persuaders and The Protectors etc, plus several home made compilations a mate of mine did for...

    Time to say goodbye ?

Scary isn't it! I've had lots of hits but only one serious 'bite' so far (slight mobile phone issue bunging up the works), before I bought the P5B though I put my P6B on the same site and it went without any hassle at all. If I were looking for another P6B I wouldn't hesitate to come and view...

    Time to say goodbye ?

The last line of your post makes a good point Peter - having put the advert online I'm sure Stina may be having second thoughts, but with the ad lasting two months there's plenty of time to make the right decision. I'm in the same boat at the moment as my P5B Coupe is on the same site, before...

'Traffic & Buses Of London 1970' Pathe News footage...

You could be right Nick - quite a few of the black cabs have E or F plates and the green P6 I mentioned earlier looked brand new on an F plate. One of the cinemas was showing Dr.Zivago though which was released in '65 I think - but then a lot of the 'big' films of the time ran in cinemas for...

    How many have Radios

I had a period radio fitted from new in my now sold 3500 'DEG 911K' which worked very well 95% of the time. I had it permanently tuned into a classic station so had a constant stream of T-Rex, Bowie, The Stones, Led Zep etc, perfect for an early '70s car. If I get another P6 (which I hope will...

'Traffic & Buses Of London 1970' Pathe News footage...

I came across this gem on another forum, thought I'd post it here as there are quite a few S1 P6s in it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwXQA03MJgE Amongst the City Grey P6s there's a very nice Arden Green 2000 complete with Webasto or Britax sunroof seen in close up at one point, reg'...

    Dealer window stickers...

Cheers. The (knackered) original front number plate on mine still has traces of the Henlys name on it and an outline in the rar window where the sticker was, it was probably crumbling to bits as they often do.

    Dealer window stickers...

Does anyone know if Henlys supplied any of their cars with tredplates, or were they just supplied with rear window stickers...? (Cheers in advance - I'd love to have something appropriate to go in my P5B Coupe which came from Henlys in September '70) Nidge

    for the love of cars

Hi Phil - the reg number of the V8S is WCW 358M, this particular car was for sale on carandclassic.co.uk last year and caught my eye at the time as my first P6, a 2000TC was WCW 375M. Nidge

    made a replica tax disc

I've used Greg's product in my '68 Cooper S and it is spot on, with the correct North London issuing stamp and other relevant details - the perfect period finishing touch to any classic car. After October this year it will be legal to display these period discs on their own as the DVLA are doing...

    Drive it day

es Thanks for the link Michael but theirs aren't the same font / typeface as the ones on Dave's P6, sounds fussy I know but I'm after the the sort with the more chunky shape of digits (which my Cooper S had when it was supplied new by Stewart & Ardern in Acton) - if you compare Chestnut's...

    Drive it day

Lovely S1 car you've got there Dave, very nice! Out of interest, did you fitr those raised digit number plates yourself or were they already on the car... ? I'm after a set exactly like this for one of my cars and I'm having trouble finding a firm that does that particular typeface. Cheers...

    Slot Mags for P6

Nice! I'm wondering if they'll go straight onto a P5 too. The Rostyles on mine need rechroming and I've been thinking of fitting something else in their place for a while now.

    for the love of cars

If this first series does well, lets hope they do a second one and choose the P6. Enjoyed this first programme, all the way through I kept thinking how good the Mk1 design still looks today. I want one now...
