Has anyone installed a powerline starter motor to a Rover V8 engine in a P6?

I am very pleased with the Powerlite starter. The engine starts instantly. The original culprit for the starter to not work, I found out it was caused by the ignition switch falling apart. A new 7/8 ignition switch from JRW fixed the problem. But I had already bought the Powerlite, so I fitted...

    What are this speedodrive from?

It is just sitting held in by that fork. So it is a temporary solution that has worked fine for me the last 4 years. And it is a speedo drive for an automatic gearbox. I have bought a new same type speedo drive from Wins and will fit that. Hopefully it will all work fine again.

I use some silicone spray in the handbrake gaitor when i have to remove the console. Makes it alot easier to slide the handbrake through the gaitor.

Has anyone installed a powerline starter motor to a Rover V8 engine in a P6?

Thanks Quattro, I have the same manifolds as you. I have managed to squeeze in the original Lucas starter motor, but it is a very tight fit. I have had my manifolds ceramic coated too, inside and outside. Still seem very hot down there. The outlets from the manifolds are not coated, so maybe I...

    Broken brake booster?

Hi Pepijn, I have the same system as you in my 3500s. In my other Rover 3500, i have a single line system. Which has a much more "modern" feel to the brake pedal. Brakes immediately and progressively. I my 3500s I need to really stamp on the brake for it to work properly and it is tiring in the...

Has anyone installed a powerline starter motor to a Rover V8 engine in a P6?

I was wondering: do they fit it? and how do they perform. My original starter motor has given up the ghost. It sits very tight and very close to the exhaust manifold so I wonder of something has fried up inside it. It is getting very hot from the exhaust. I was on holiday when the starter...

    3500 wont move!

I also had that some years ago, it was the diff extension on one side that had broke. On the oppesite side, it had twisted but not broken yet. Some new parts from WINS and effort in my workshop soon rectified the problem.

    P6 overmats

I am considering buying overmats for my 3500s. The most common company seems to be techautosuk on ebay. I wonder if anyone here has got any experience with their overmats and service please? It would be good to know a little bit about them before I order a set. Thanks in advance! Regards, Barten
